Had 2 of them about 4 years before any blooms (purchased very small thru mail order), but now "love" it. Just wish the blossoms would last longer, but no work needed other than getting rid of dead stalk from blossoms and any browned blades. Good for any soil. July 25, 2002 (Vancouver)	This is recommended by the Vancouver Parks board as a suitable planting for your sunny bone-dry strip between the sidewalk and the street. We used to have one near our front door, but the pointy tips of the leaves were dangerously at eye level. close-up of the blooming	The Yucca filamentosa may be perhaps one of our most durable and easy perennials here in zone 6. I love the sharp swords and irregular, unpredictable lovely blooming.
